About Us
Meet the co-owners, Tracy Babcock and Becky Neff!
Tracy and Becky worked together for almost 10 years at a local Seattle company and are thrilled to take this next career move together.
Becky (left) grew up a few hours south of Seattle, and has been sewing since she was 5. After making baby clothes out of vintage blankets and selling them in a local antique store in high school, she started to dream about owning her own store one day. Fast forward through a bachelor’s degree at UW, Apparel design degree at Seattle Central College, and a career full of designing, product development, merchandising and business analyzing…that dream is a reality. When not at the store, you can find her hanging out with her husband Steve and their two young kiddos. When those kiddos are actually asleep at the same time, you will most likely find her listening to an audio book and sewing with her cat and two dogs at her feet.
Tracy's (right) lifelong dream was to become a buyer of clothes, a dream she realized when she began her career as a buyer for a Seattle-based fashion retailer. With a long and successful career in buying, merchandising and product development in children's wear, Tracy decided it was time to pursue her ultimate passion—owning her own business. Her extensive experience in kids' retail, combined with a commitment to sustainability and circular fashion, led to the journey to Childish Things.
Now empty nesters, Tracy and her husband Scott have two daughters attending the University of Washington (Go Huskies!). Tracy cherishes her time in the store, surrounded by beautiful babies and kiddos, and is forever grateful for the joy it brings her. When she is not in the store, she loves vintage shopping, gardening and making jewelry.
